This policy explains what information Clincher (“Clincher,” “we,” “us”) collects when you visit roiclincher.com (the “site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. Clincher is operated by Gabe Petersen. If you have any questions, email privacy@roiclincher.com.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Newsletter sign-up: your name and email address.
- ROI preview tool: your email address (if you ask us to email you the preview) and the answers you enter, such as a description of your product, the costs and revenue outcomes it affects, deal size, win rate, team size and pipeline, along with the estimates the tool produces.
- Booking a call: calls are scheduled through Calendly, which collects the details you enter in its booking form under its own privacy policy.
- Emails you send us: anything you include when you contact us.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, time on page, referring website, device and browser type, and approximate location (city or region).
- Session recordings: on some pages we use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with the page (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement) so we can improve the design.
- Server logs: our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically records technical information such as IP address, browser type and the time of each request, to operate and secure the site.
2. How we use your information
- To send you the content you asked for, such as the ROI playbook, newsletter updates or your ROI preview.
- To follow up about Clincher’s services when you have shown interest, for example by using the ROI preview or booking a call.
- To generate your ROI preview from the answers you enter.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To keep the site secure and prevent spam and abuse.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on your consent to send marketing emails, and on our legitimate interests to run analytics, improve the site and keep it secure.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, and only for those purposes:
- HubSpot stores contact details and sends our emails.
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity provide site analytics.
- Vercel hosts the site.
- Calendly schedules calls.
- Anthropic may process the answers you enter into the ROI preview tool to generate your preview.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
4. Cookies
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity use cookies and similar technologies to recognize repeat visits and measure usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site still works if you block these cookies.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your contact details while you remain subscribed or while we have an ongoing business conversation with you. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we will delete it or keep only what we need to honor your request (for example, a record that you unsubscribed). Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
6. Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe: every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us.
- Access, correction and deletion: you can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing privacy@roiclincher.com.
- Additional rights: depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, the UK or California), you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, to receive a copy of your data in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
We respond to requests within 30 days.
7. Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. International transfers
Clincher and its service providers are based in the United States, so your information may be processed there. Where the law requires it, our providers use approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for these transfers.
9. Children
The site is intended for business professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
